ANOTHER mock book cover! Coraline’s one of my favorite books, but since it’s Neil Gaiman I think that goes without saying. Amirite or amirite?
I tried to take aspects from both the book and the movie and get something believable that’s between both of them, like orange book-boots and blue(black) movie hair!

Vesta Tilley, impersonating a foppish young man. Originally named Matilda Alice Powles (1864 – 1952), she was the most famous and well paid music hall male impersonator of her day. She was a star in both Britain and the United States for over thirty years. Her father was a comedy actor and sometimes theatre manager, and Tilley first appeared on stage at the age of three and a half. At the age of six she did her first role in male clothing under the name Pocket Sims Reeves, a parody of then-famous opera singer Sims Reeves. She would come to prefer doing male roles exclusively, saying that “I felt that I could express myself better if I were dressed as a boy”.

The Monster Engine by Dave DeVries

Half children’s book, half demonstration, half workshop, half art series, ALL MONSTER!! Dave DeVries meets with children from across the nation, gathering their illustrations full of awkward lines and unfamiliar anatomy and paints them, adding an extra dimension to these irregular-shaped imaginings.

from the intro paragraph:

Zombie Playground is an online, team based, action arena game with RPG elements. Gameplay will be deep, challenging, and rewarding. The game combines childhood nostalgia with horrific monsters, visceral combat, and a unique atmosphere straight out a child’s nightmares. We do want to make it very clear: this is not a game for kids!
