Captain Venus, aka “Mad Ann”
a living ghost of high seas, the walking myth of herself.
no one knows where she came from, how she lost one of her hand, and how she became the captain of Whaler ship ‘Ahab’. (well, actually it’s not so big surprise to crews of Ahab, since most of them are Shanghai’d while they were drunk or lost.)
but one thing is sure, wherever she goes, there the whales be.
thanks to Luck of ole’ Davy, (or Mad Ann’s marvelous Sense of Whale tracking) the cargo rooms of “Ahab” are always fulfilled with plenty barrels of whale oil. and their tables are always served with juicy Meat and ruby red wines. so the crews like to stay, so never dream about leave the boat.
but alas, poor sailors! unless anyone wonders where’s ship heading, where are the wines come from, and what’s name is left for Ann’s Last Hunt, they will never know when the day ‘Ahab’ shall rest at Port may come.
there are three things you have to beware when sailing on the high seas.
First one is Storm. Second one, is Pirates, and The Last one is Captain ‘Mad Ann’ Venus.
Ann Venus is current Captain of old whaler ship named ‘Ahab’. she’s famous for professional whale hunting skills, and infamous for mad obsession with Hunting ‘Red Back’, the legendary giant whale of the haunted sea known as ‘Black Tides’.
Following the Legend, some sailors say ‘Red back’ is more like an hideous abomination of Rocks, Meats, and broken ships then actual whale. it’s wearing pieces of broken ships as shell for protect itself from Harpoon, and uses the bones of victims stuck in its mouth to grind the flesh of prey. and others say it’s actually a living ship that spooked by thousands Spirits of whales seeking for Revenge.
However, no any advices and words about Red Back are useful, since all of those things are just tale and myth. but no one can tell that ‘Red Back’ is just a made up creature, because it could be true as Mad Ann.
since there was no any man who escaped from her ship, and all the tales about her are came from mouth to mouth between drunken sailors. everything was unclear about her. until the day, ‘Little Mary’ ; the fisherman’s Daughter met her by accident and heard about the story of Red Back from her mouth…..
